Keeping and looking after bees can be a little overwhelming. What initially starts with a well meaning deisre to take up a relaxing hobby, quickly becomes confusing, complicated and most importantly.... expensive .... all for you to end up with an empty hive. 
What kit do you need? what is essential and what is unecessary? 
We run an introduction to bees Course, which covers not just everything you need to know to start you on your journey into keeping bees, but also delves into the bees themselves how they survive and evolve so this course is also perfectly suited for anyone just simply interested in one of the most important insects on the planet.

The course runs for approximately 4 hours, is held at our home apiary in Boxley, Kent, and will involve a talk and Q&A on all of the equipment, costs, Honey production, Apiary management, followed by a practical, hands on demonstration of a live hive inspection where you can handle the bees and put your newly found knowledge into practice. (including obligatory photo of course).
We will provide a good foundation to help you decide if Beekeeping is for you.
Dates of the courses are either Saturday or Sundays and to some degree be dependant on the weather as we want you to have both a great & dry experience. 
 Price per person is £70.00 and to keep it both safe and personal, we have a maximum of 8 people.
